The students will be improving the design of an old house/mall/school/castle by designing and constructing a device that will allow accessibility from one floor to the other so that it fulfills the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and can be sold. In order to prepare for this inquiry, the teacher needs to lay the groundwork on topics like the pulley system and the gear system.
