Many people consider science to be a collection of verified true facts, separate from human issues like discrimination. While that is the goal, it is imperative that we always remember that the scientific process is done by individuals who are never free from bias. This bias has made its way into the collected body of scientific knowledge and into the way that we teach science in the classroom.
