Summer Opportunities for Students – submitted by Laura Wodlinger

This year, more than ever before, it is so important that students get a break.   They have worked so hard (alongside us) to adjust to all of the constant changes.   But for some students a summer break is not complete without more science!
I always love to share a couple of the amazing summer science opportunities with my students before we finish the school year.   This year, there are more virtual options than ever.
Here is a few to get you started:
  • Let’s Talk Science is offering a Summer Science Communication Camp for grades 8-10, Special 1 day Symposiums for grades 11-12, and Daily Discoveries for ages 9-11
  • Institute for Earth and Space Exploration at Western University is offering a Space Explorers’ Summer Camp for children in grades 4-6
  • EcoSpark has Citizen Science Bingo Cards to take with you on your next Outdoor Experience
Have a Great Summer!
Best,
