Hungary’s first singing road, located on road 67 between Kaposvár and the M7 highway, plays the song “A 67-es út” by Republic when cars drive over it at the proper speed. The road’s surface has specially designed furrows that create musical notes, making the car’s wheels act like the strings of a guitar. This innovative project was a collaboration between Strabag Építő Ltd, Strabag AG, and Soltút Ltd, and it expanded the road from two lanes to four. The singing road not only ensures safety but also adds an element of fun for drivers.
