In the following lesson plan, the students will investigate and determine the angle relationship of an isosceles triangle using trees, determine the Pythagorean relationship using natural environmental features, and solve a problem using an isosceles triangle and the Pythagorean theorem. They will understand the critical relationship between angles, Pythagorean theorem, and tree height as a source of environmental data.
