YouTube – I finally rode the weird, curved German elevator
The unique curved elevator at the Neues Rathaus (New Town Hall) in Hanover, Germany, provides a distinctive experience as it travels diagonally at a 17-degree angle up 43 meters (141 feet) to the dome’s gallery. Web developer and YouTuber Tom Scott explored this elevator, which features windows at both ends of the cabin for views of the surroundings and the mechanical components. At the top, visitors are rewarded with panoramic city views and a distant sight of the Deister ridge.
