The Pets in the Classroom Grant Program is Now Accepting Grant Applications
The Pet Care Trust’s Pets in the Classroom grant program is NOW accepting applications for the 2022-23 school year. Spread the word to other teachers!
The grant program provides funding for a small animal or pet supplies to Pre-Kindergarten through 9th grade teachers in both private and public schools who desire to introduce a pet into the classroom or who already have a pet in the classroom. Interested teachers are welcome to apply.
For those of you who have been awarded an initial grant in the past, there are Sustaining Grants available to help support your existing classroom pet, or add a new pet. Please remember that if you have moved schools, you should continue to use your same account, and just update your profile information. Each teacher is entitled to one initial store or initial rebate grant, and then a sustaining grant each school year after that. The grant applications are available from August 1, 2022 through June 1, 2023.

PLEASE NOTE: There is only one grant that is available to Canadian schools and it is through PetSmart. When you select apply for a grant, make sure to scroll down and select the appropriate store/category. Please see the image below.

Le programme de subvention ” Pets in the Classroom ” du Pet Care Trust accepte MAINTENANT les demandes pour l’année scolaire 2022-23. Faites passer le mot à d’autres enseignants !
Le programme de subventions permet de financer l’achat d’un petit animal ou de fournitures pour animaux de compagnie pour les enseignants de la maternelle à la 9e année des écoles privées et publiques qui souhaitent introduire un animal de compagnie dans leur classe ou qui ont déjà un animal de compagnie dans leur classe. Les enseignants intéressés sont invités à appliquer.
Pour ceux d’entre vous qui ont reçu une subvention initiale dans le passé, des subventions de soutien sont disponibles pour vous aider à soutenir votre animal de compagnie existant ou à en ajouter un nouveau. N’oubliez pas que si vous avez changé d’école, vous devez continuer à utiliser le même compte, et simplement mettre à jour les informations de votre profil. Chaque enseignant a droit à une subvention initiale ou à un rabais initial, puis à une subvention de maintien chaque année scolaire suivante. Les demandes de subvention sont disponibles du 1er août 2022 au 1er juin 2023.
