University of Guelph is sponsoring an
open house, “
Bringing Space Down to Earth”.
The
Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (CHFCA) is hosting the
World Hydrogen Energy Conference in
Toronto from
June 3-7, 2012. Included in the conference is a public education and outreach program that is offered on June 5 and 6 at Yonge-Dundas Square (YDS) in downtown Toronto.
The education and outreach program will feature information on hydrogen, its production methods, its many applications, and its use in fuel cells.
YDS will also be the site of several displays of hydrogen and fuel cell products, including ten fuel cell electric cars, a fuelcellpowered lift truck, and a fuel cell powered popcorn maker. Some rides in fuel cell vehicles will be made available to a limited number of students and teachers. A 20 minute presentation on the science of hydrogen and fuel cells is planned on every hour, with a question and answer period to follow. The program begins at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. each day.
