Summer Writing Opportunity for Secondary
WRITING TEAM FOR GRADES 9 AND 10 DEMO COLLECTION
STAO/APSO is developing a resource that will be a collection of about 60-80 short activities/demos appropriate for the grades 9 and 10 Academic and Applied Science courses. The resource will be divided into the four content areas or strands that comprise these courses: Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space Science, and Physics. A fifth component, Teaching Tips, will complete the resource. The activities/demos will assist teachers in safely addressing some of the curriculum expectations in each of the four content areas/strands of the grades 9 and 10 science courses. This project will run from May 2012 through September 2012. The content of the resource will be used to prepare presentations at the STAO2012 conference in November of this year.
